Miso Soup with Shrimp
Georgie Fear

If you can boil water, you can make this super-quick, super-healthy, novice-proof soup. Shirataki noodles are available in many supermarkets as well as Asian markets. If you can't find them, substitute your favorite cooked noodles. Tip: You can save a little $ if you buy raw shrimp. Simply peel and de-vein. (See the shrimp p&d demo under "Techniques" in the Reference section.) Then drop them into the boiling water. After a couple of minutes, they should be curled, pink, and opaque, and you can proceed with the recipe.
