It was several years ago that I first tried the traditional appetizer treat of stuffed hot peppers—I was hooked. However, since joining the healthier lifestyle those were cast aside. When I tried this recipe I was thrilled to have an old treat back—only tastier! I used the garlic and onion cheese instead of the plain variety and tried different types of peppers as well. Big hit with my son who loves hot and spicy foods—but not healthy ones! I love when I love when I find a recipe that is a great celebration of food and flavor and not just a health-ified version of a junk food.
Super important to follow the tips of gloves and hand washing after touching all those peppers—I did not.
