I have never really been formally taught how to cook. I learned by simply watching others around me cook and I would remember what and how the ingredients were used. I found a lot of freedom in learning to cook this way. The gears start to turn in my head and I think about what ingredients might “dance” better together next time I make a dish. I rarely follow a recipe to a tee, but it is wonderful to have them to play with and formulate new ideas. I LOVE the recipes in Trufflehead and look forward to playing with them more.
