I made it happen in the kitchen.

Peter Sherwood

After weathering a soul-shredding career as a theatrical agent that lasted entirely too long, Peter Sherwood left his stable of actors from the stage and screen and went on to pursue his literary aspirations. He has an agent of his own now, recently completed his first novel and is in the midst of writing a second. Mr. Sherwood is currently the dining editor for Next magazine (nextmagazine.com/features/eats) where he writes a weekly restaurant review column which also features his own food and drink recipes, culinary travelogues, and interviews with New York nightlife celebrities. Recently he was published in Foodista’s Best of Food Blogs Cookbook. He toiled as web editor for industry leader Interior Design magazine for several years and previously has also written for New York magazine, Travel & Leisure and Woman’s Day.

Mr. Sherwood asks that you be his guest for dinner or just pull up a chair alongside some culinary anecdotes. His blog may trigger the memory perhaps, or be used as a guide for entertaining as he lists courses, recipes and even appropriate music as a suggestion for your own evenings, most often with a side of reminiscence, served at room temperature.

A proud graduate of the University of New Hampshire, one of the nation’s top drinking schools, Mr. Sherwood also studied voice and theater abroad at Regent’s College, in London’s historic Regent’s Park, and at the Royal Academy of Music. He spent a year at Hunter College on Manhattan’s somewhat less spectacular Upper East Side.
